Called Glock this morning and they are sending me out a new recoil spring. (they must be getting a lot of these calls - the guy that took my info sounded really grumpy . . . .).
Until it arrives I am putting the G30 on the injured reserve list and pulling out my 9 mm's to carry until the spring gets here.
I guess I sold my Colt Commander too early . . . should've kept it until the G30 had been thoroughly broken in.

Went to the range. Very pleased w/results. Very manageable recoil... one-handed shooting at that. I'm surprised IWB carry is no more uncomfortable than any other handgun IWB carry. Gotta love Blade-Tech. Props to Double Tap Holsters, too. OWB right now & can hardly tell. Now, waiting on Raven Concealment to send my order; OWB that accommodates a Streamlight LR1 on G4G30.

good to hear Soldiernurse...I've been wearing mine every day since buying it...I think it will make my G23 (with a .40, 9mm conversion and 357 SiG barrels) obsolete...
I find the G30 Gen4 small enough, light enough, decent payload on board, nice to be able to have a 13 round magazine as back up and really accurate...

My new recoil spring arrived today - only took 6 days! Now I have to get to the range again and see if I have any more failures to go fully into battery. I hope this fixes the issue!

I too was on the hunt for a G30s, but, bought the Gen4 G30 instead, I am very happy with my decision. I have been to the range twice, about 500 rounds through it, zero problems and it eats everything so far ; FMJ, 230 JHP gold dots and win rangers, 185 JHP golden sabers. The size, to me is fine and the weight is not an issue, carried it to the range in an IWB and it was comfortable, although I must say in my state I can only CCW to and from range so didn't wear it long, but, no discomfort. The only things that I didn't like was the sights so I installed TruGLo TFOs and the 10 round mag bases. I bought a nine round mag ( great for carry ) and Pearce +0 grip extension for 10s and nine , no more pinch. Good luck, but, you obviously don't need it with your recent purchase.

I had the failure to rtb and waited til I had 500 rounds thru it to call Glock. They sent me a new recoil spring that had the same number but it fixed it. No more rtb and no more rounds to the head. I came home before the new spring with four brass in my right shirt pocket.

My G30 gen4 is having all the same issues as G26AZ even after replacing the RSA. Also, I noticed that my G30s has a 4256-2 trigger bar and the G30 gen4 has the old 4256-1. Does anyone else have the -2 trigger bar?
