Glock 42 holster

Hey guys I just picked up my Glock 42 and tried it with several holsters. I have one on order that fits a Diamondback DB9. The guns are about the same size. I Have a friend that tried it in a DeSantis Yaqui belt slide holster for a Sig 232 it fit just fine with a little adjustment of the tension screws.
I also tried it in my Gould and Goodrich boot lock holster and it fits very nice in my uncle mikes pocket holster. below are a few pics.

The strap on the holster should be on the back of the slide . Thats going to get you killed the way it is ..

Sorry, I took several different photos, and that will not get you killed wearing the retention strap that way. What will get you killed is if the gun comes out of the holster. I carried a Sig P290RS like that for years because the strap kept sliding off the back of the slide. I can get the gun out just as fast as the retention strap being on the back of the slide. Here are the other pics of the gun with it on the back of the slide.

The only holster that I have on hand the fits the G42 is an Uncle Mikes Sidekick size 15. It actually fits like it was designed for the G42. I plan on breaking out the Kydex press tomorrow and see what I can come up with in IWB and OWB versions.

So you are telling us that you can get just as good of a grip on the gun with the strap resting on the grip? I find that hard to believe. If the strap keeps on sliding off the slide, maybe it is time to get a better holster where the strap stays in place.

On a side note, Remora and SHTF Gear both announced that they have holsters ready for the G42.

Thank you, I have made several knife and ax sheafs but this my first attempt at making a handgun holster. I based it on one I had purchased for my G27. It is far from perfect. I neglected to account for Kydex shrinkage as it cooled, I over trimmed a bit around the edges and the belt loop is too large. It is a learning experience. Going to try another one today. I believe in the minimalist approach to holsters, especially for a gun as small as the G42.

Glock 42 holster

ColoradoHolster.com has the holster for the Glock 42 already. I ordered last week and received it yesterday. ...if only they could have changed this gun to a 9mm for me when they sent the holster. Crap!

Oh yah... and I found a 10% off coupon too! It is: Glock42
