Have to have a new .45

The kimber is fun but really want a new poly. Any truth to the rumors of a new Glock model .45 coming next year? I have a G19 but also have a XDM9 and like both. I would be willing to hold off if there was any merit to the rumors. The XDM .45 4.5 and 5.25 would be a nice additions to my collection but a long slide Glock .45(if true) would be worth waiting for. I know some will say get both but Christmas is coming up fast and have a lot of family to buy for.

I'm in the same boat man. I have been looking for a G34 but if a long slide .45 is coming out, I'd rather wait.

With my luck, there will be one left and I will be next in line behind you.

Given these circumstances I would wait.

But... But... What if, while you are waiting, you don't live long enough to get that long slide Glock? Then what?

Buy now, shoot now. Life is too short to wait on a gun to turn from vaporware to hardware.

OMG! Didn't think of that. XDM now, Glock in the spring. Perfect reasoning. Thanks Richard.

If ya just can't wait and the .45 gremlins won't leave ya alone, the G30sf Gen3 is a fine addition to any collection. Just sayin' ....

Oh, I want a 30 too but really want a full size first. Gave my first 30 to my son and have had a void ever since.

j lee "...Any truth to the rumors of a new Glock model .45 coming next year?"

I just got my copy of American Rifleman and starting on page 94 they have a some-what lengthy article about the past and present of Glock pistols.

The short of it is that they are still pushing the Gen4's with no hint of anything "new" coming down the pipe.

Have heard nothing concrete, just rumors. Just got my AR Magazine today also. Haven't read that article yet. A long slide .45 would make sense, especially with the current demand in my area for the XDM 5.25".

Haha good thing we are in different states! If it comes out, I'm sure there will be enough to go around if you get there quickly.

They will definitely sell like hot cakes. I imagine they will come stock with the 4.5lb trigger.

I just had to have a new .45 also. Bought a Gen4 21, couldn't be happier. I didn't want to wait on a gun that may or may not happen.

Will buy something tomorrow or Saturday. Now going back and forth now on the G21G4 and the XDM.45 4.5". Just when I think I have decided, I change my mind. Already have 2 9mm but only 1 .45, a Kimber. Can't make up my mind but leaning to the Glock of course. The XD feels a little better in my hand but still think I want the Glock. The new Glock is less expensive at $585.

Gen 4 G37 or G39 for concealed carry. Very accurate pistol.

Went to my LGS today after making a last minute decision before lunch to go ahead and get a 30S and wait until after the 2014 Shot Show to get a 21(hopefully a long slide if they really are introducing one). Didn't have a 30S so I left, drove about a mile, turned around, came back and bought a G21 Gen 4.

That's it. No more Glocks until 2014, I hope.

Really? Thanks for the heads up. Since that will be 2014, I'll get it when it comes out.

Congrats on the G21 Gen 4. i have both a Gen 3 and Gen 4 G21 and I have a hard time choosing one over the other. The Gen 3 never did me wrong, in fact quite the opposite. Thousands of rounds and no single issue whatsoever but I like the changes the Gen 4 brought with it and I find myself picking that one for IDPA more than the old reliable Gen 3.

I have been wishing for a .45 ACP version of the 34/35 and maybe just maybe they've listened! I've never pre-ordered a gun before but that might just change next year! Or maybe the new models are the Glock carbine everybody's wanted for so long!
