"I are not a computer person"
How do I import my GSSF shooting data into this software?
I have it loaded onto an iPad2. I've been shooting Glock matches for eight plus years.
Thanks in advance.

The app doesn't have any import capabilities. What application are you currently using to keep track of your scores?

Send me a private message and perhaps we can work something out.

Thanks for reporting that bug. Don't know how I missed it. I fixed it and posted a new version 1.2.1 to the App Store today. Should be available shortly.

The Charleston match was the first time I shot my 34 in a match so when I look at my scores in the Competition division I have 1 now for the 34 and 9 that I shot with my 17. I also have 1 score now for the 17 in Master Stock and 10 scores for the 17 in Amateur Civilian.

I guess what I'd like to see are reports by gun so that I can compare my scores with the 17 regardless of the division. Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense and other users have requested the same thing so I added it.

I just Released Ver 1.3 to the App Store that includes Single Gun and Single Location Reports and Graphs showing only those scores shot with a particular gun (like a Glock 17) or at a particular location (like Las Vegas).

Thanks for you input and I hope you enjoy the new features. Should be available in the App Store in a week or so.

Thanks, I appreciate this. I saw this when you posted it and should have responded sooner.

Thanks again

Does this handle INDOOR GSSF matches?

Thanks for all the support and suggestions from GSSF Shooters. Here's hoping for a good year of matches in 2014.

Any plans to add the indoor league?

I've used the app for the summer and hve two matches entered. It works great! I just shot my first indoor match and it would be great to have them all in one place.

I know you're probably swamped just keeping the app up-to-date with its current features. But if you get a chance to add the indoor stuff, that would be great!

I can't thank you enough for creating this app. It's so handy to have it at the matches and have immediate comparisons to previous matches

7.1 doesn't seem to get along well with the app. After updating, it hangs on install.

Awesome. I shot Griffin in five divisions. After Xing in at a stage, I'd enter my slips from the previous stage, take a photo of the slip, and throw them away. Preliminaries came out yesterday and my scores all matched exactly, so easy with this app!

That's a bad idea. If something happens to your score sheets between the stage and GSSF data entry, having your carbons (to send copies to GSSF) could be very useful.

Scores are scores I get that.
But if you are comparing scores across the board couldn't there be inconsistences do to the range/location the match was shot because of restrictions?

Each range selects the different versions of stages they need set up for the depth of their bays. It could be basically thought of as, short or long versions. The Charleston match is pretty much always going to be a short match (bays aren't deep enough for 25 yard placements of targets).

How does this effect the math of the app? Obviously short versions are shot faster than long ones.

Yeah, I'd send them the images ("here's a scan of my score sheets") and all would be well.

We're not talking about the difference between me being the first to sweep all divisions or only winning seven of eight. We're talking about me showing up 32nd or 33rd in subcompact .

I prefer to travel light.

The app doesn't take this into account, but you're right. In the old days, there were 3 stages, and other than things like target height, they were generally consistent from match to match. Now, with there being multiple possible variations of each stage, the stage setup used could definitely impact your scores.

I'd missed the bit about photographing the sheets. That'd do fine.

One thing I just encountered with the app is having recently graduated to master, I'm not sure how to indicate that in the app. i.e. I've been mostly shooting and doing reasonably well in a couple of the divisions that allow amateurs and masters to both shoot...and until Orlando, I was entering my Amateur placement in the app when the results posted. Now, I guess I'll enter my overall placement...but it'd be nice to be able to indicate in some way that these entries are now master entries. I tried doing this by putting a * next to the division name...but that makes it so I can't graph all my scores together, because MajorSub and MajorSub* are seen as different divisions.

I'm not sure what the best way is to handle this. Maybe a master checkbox in the Edit Division screen and then some kind of different graph data point shape or color to differentiate amateur vs master?

Sorry, I must have been sleeping or something. I recently released Ver 1.3.2 that fixed a bug on launch. Did you get that update and did it resolve your issue?

So you want to be able to mark some Division Records as Master and some as Amateur? It would be easy for me to add that.

But then you want all the Divisions (Master or Amateurr) to show up in the same reports and graphs right? Not two separate reports like you are seeing by adding the asterisk to the Division name.

Let me know.

I finally upgraded to my first smart phone, an Apple 5S. The first app I installed was the GSSFBase. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this fantastic app!

Thanks Danny. That means a lot coming from a seasoned guy like you. Now if you could just teach me how to hit the targets fast with no penalties I would owe you one!
