Time to rotate the main Carry Gun.

Put the SP101 away for a while. Carrying my 617 7 shot 357 again. And as always a LCR357 is in my pocket as backup.

Love my SP101 (spurless, 2.5in, 357) and am carrying right now.

My Taurus 617 devolved a timing problem so I sold it two years ago.

I can use the same holster. It's a thin leather holster from Concealment Concepts. The SP sits lower so I put a filler in the bottom of the holster when carrying the SP.

Well, I missed the SP101. I put the 617 away and it's back to carrying two Rugers.

Pardon my ignorance, is the 617 a S&W? And how do you carry your SP101 and the LCR? Hip holster and pocket? Do you use a pocket protector/pocket holster?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Actually, I found the 617. Interesting. What length barrel is yours and what kind of .22 ammo do you use when you carry it?

I just got a SP101 with 2.25" barrel with bobbed hammer. I need a IWB holster for it and I too am wondering what others are using. I look forward to the answers as well on what others are using for holsters

My 617 is a Taurus 2" 7 shot 357. The 617 and the Sp101 fit a leather IWB holster I got from concealment concepts years ago. The SP sits a little lower since it is slimmer than the 7 shooter. I carry the LCR357 in my off hand front pocket in a black hawk nylon pocket holster.

Excellent OP, I really like your SP101/LCR combo. Great choice for EDC.

All the years I switched around with different carry and back ups, this feels right. From easy carry to the multitude of ammo possibilities. The same speed loaders with the same extra ammo. Sometimes I feel the need to go lighter. I have carried the LCR357 as main carry IWB. My S&W 442 is in pocket as back up. I can use the same speed loaders but, now they are loaded with 135g. Gold Dot JHP.

I normally put the G26 away this time of year and get out the G19....but this Fall/Winter I think I'll carry the Ruger SP101 snubbie. I just purchased a set of Hogue Rubber/Nylon grips and they feel great.
