Picked up another STI Legacy tonight on GB!

For a song and a dance.

Congrats Joe. That was a great price. I was looking at it and a couple of others then came back to it and it was
'auction has ended'. This makes your 'I'll be damned' post hilarious. I hope you can send it to Chris for a little facelift.

I think Joe is going to keep this one stock, SG.

Yeah, Chris worked my last one over, which was fine with me. I LOVE the way it turned out. But to be able to find one with the PVD finish in like new condition for that price was a no brainer. The magwell was installed by STI, per STI, for the original owner who ordered directly from STI. The GB seller bought it off the original owner, who had fired it very little and had kept it as a safe queen and it was never shot after the original owner parted with it. The magwell will be coming off of it and the original wooden grip will be going back on it, leaving it factory condition and it will get shot one one or two range trips and then put in my sfe to be a safe queen.

Here's my first one...

Here's a few pics from GB. The color is off due to the lighting. Maybe Brian or Brandon can show a better pic of theirs, as their's also has the PVD finish. Looks grayish in these pics, but is black in person.

Here's mine.

The Legacy was, by far, the best looking 1911 STI ever built as far as I'm concerned. Its a shame its no longer made.

As soon as mine lands at my FFL, that magwell is coming off and those wooden grips are going on. I wish my first one would've been finished in PVD, as yours is what got me wanting one in the first place, but I'm happy the way mine turned out and now finally have one in PVD that will look just like this. ^^^^^^^^^^^

Sounds great, Joe.

Yeah, a huge mag funnel like that has no place on such a nice looking 1911.

The Legacy is a pretty rare gun. STI didn't build many of them. They rarely come up on Gunbroker. I think Joe bought the last two and they were a couple years apart.

If it looks like Bac's gun, I wouldn't send it anywhere either!
Congrats.

Yeah. Brandon has one too. It's a small club for sure. I think we all agree that it's the best production 1911 that was ever built.

I havent posted any pics or provided a range report yet. I am planning on doing a side by side with my TRP. I was absolutely shocked at the quality of the build.
