GSG 1911-22 Winner Winner!

Shot my GSG 1911-22 again today and I like it better each time I shoot it. Shoots great with bulk ammo too. I have one factory 10 round magazine and have a CW Accessories 15 round conversion base plate, follower and spring kit on another magazine that also functions great. I also use cw's loader assist button that makes loading easier and faster.
On my other 2 magazines I have cw's extra power magazine springs along with ZR Tactical Solutions + 4 magazine followers. I heard these followers don't always feed correctly with the factory 10 round spring but my gun feeds great the the extra power mag springs. Only down side is with the extra power springs I can't get the 14th round in the magazine, it will only load 13 rounds, which I can live with. Fun gun!

hanks for the report! I have the Sig version and it has been a fun shooter.

If you want to add some cool factor as well as function check out these base pads for the GSG/Sig magazines:

The +1 base pad will add an extra round and the extension makes it easier for quick loading.

Congrats.
I am on my second one. First one the safety broke and the magazine disconnect went FUBAR right at about 300 rounds. My LGS replaced it no questions asked. On this one I replaced the safety, put a flat main spring housing and took out the magazine disconnect.
This one shoots as good as the first one. Just topped 500 rounds no problems so far.

I'm just over 600 rounds on mine. Is it hard to replace the safety and main spring housing?

I would say no... If you know your way around a 1911.
The safety may require fitting, mine did not. I used a Colt ambi safety from brownells. However it seems about half the time the safety will require a little bit of fitting.

The main spring and housing I also ordered from brownells. You will need the whole kit for a mainspring. Retaining pins and plunger.

I retried loading the 2 magazines I have cw accessories extra power magazine springs in along with ZR Tactical Solutions + 4 magazine followers and can now load the full 14 rounds in them.
I was loading them hurriedly at the range using cw's loader assist button and could only load 13 rounds. Now I have noticed if I remove the loader button after the 13th round I can manually load the 14th round in the magazines.
