Hi all from Johannesburg, South Africa

Hi all,

I'm a total noob to the Glock family, as I just recently bought my 1st G17. I must say, I simply LOVE this weapon, I cant wait to get out to the shooting range on weekends and pull off a few rounds, a like a kid in a candy store springs to mind I hoop to learn lots from the old "guns" out there!

Then some steel guns.
Its the size of a Commander, got the capacity of a HiPower and can shoot 180gr bullets. G23 old school recipe for success.

Hello! The G17 is a great platform. Grab some 33 round glock OEM mags! Stay away from promag, and scherer. Not sure if scherer is still around though.

Hi, from South Carolina.
I never fired a Glock until I went to work (about 10 years ago) for an armed security agency. Then I had to qualify, and re-qualify quarterly, with a Glock .40 cal. We used the model 22 and model 27.
I learned, very quickly, to appreciate the Glock design, as well as its accuracy and reliability. [They will eat anything in their caliber!] My aging hands now have a keener appreciation for the 9mm round, and I think you will love your model 17. After you've fired 50 rounds or so, give us an update on your love affair!
