Can we all agree Zimmerman was foolish?

Forget about guilt or innocence, the jury will decide that. Can we at least agree Zimmerman was a fool?

I have some annoying neighbors, when they get out of hand I call the cops. I figure let these *******s deal with those *******s.

Thoughts?

Nope. one mistake, even leading to such circumstance (NOT saying he made one) doesn't make a fool. No one is above that reproach.

I live in a fantastic neighborhood, but I still wish I had a couple George Zimmermans in the vicinity to keep watch over things.

Are you forgetting that he did call the cops? Or should say he called 911 and they called the cops.

By the definition (at least in my mind) you're trying to put out/imply... "no."

Security guard companies and neighborhood watch programs all over the country are telling their people, "this is why you just observe and report and don't get involved"?

I'm betting Zimmerman is wishing he'd never gotten out of his vehicle.

I will agree that Zimmerman and Martin made mistakes. Bottom line, Zimmerman had the right to protect himself . Jury has to decide if he is telling the truth, beyond a reasonable doubt

I don't think we could all agree that the sky is blue and that the night is dark let alone a situation/event like Martin/Zimmerman.

There we go.

In the liberal suck fest America has become, Zimmerman was a fool for putting HIMSELF in a position where he had to kill someone.

As I said, the jury will decide if he's guilty or innocent, not us.

While I believe I would have acted differently, I wasn't there, I didn't see what he saw, and would hate to have my own performance in such a circumstance armchair-quarterbacked by the whole nation after the fact. I do think he made a couple errors in judgement/situational awareness, but the same could probably be said of ANYONE who's ever been in a self defense shooting. That's a far cry from being a fool.

No. He was on the phone with the cops ysr.

On. The. Phone. Trying to assist them by locating which place furtive hooded figure was either casing or going into.

...and there, 4 minutes later(?) as I learned, he was in GZs face up close, stupid and combative. In the dark.

Or maybe he should have just let the neighborhood go to hell.

I gather calling the cops can get you in big trouble in Sanford FL.

You want foolish? No flashlight maybe. Not expecting or being prepared for combat perhaps. Not going to hospital immediately.

Why do you need him to be in the wrong? Does this whole case tilt your world for some reason?

Weird.

I have no idea what went on there that night. I wasn't there nor was I on the jury. I honestly didn't care enough one way or another to listen to the whole trial. Unless you were there or on the jury then you have as little to go on as I do and don't have enough to make a decision either.

I'm sorry, but I think there is more "regionality" involved in the views of these folks.

Around here nothing has changed. Zimmerman would never have seen trouble over his actions here.

But if you live in fishbowl full of sheep (nice mixed metaphor don't you think?) all you can see is wool.

Curious, as I've said TWICE already the JURY will decide if what he did was right or wrong. I couldn't care less.

I just think he was a fool for putting himself in that situation. Look how well it worked out for him.

I know you guys like to think we live in a perfect world, I live in the real world.

The sky isn't blue. Just looks blue because the light is refracted by water vapor in the atmosphere. And night is often not dark above 65deg. N. Just sayin.

I think it is foolish to ride on a motorcycle. There is more chance for death then driving a car. Just saying.
