I was over the ammo limit today

Today while shopping I made the usual detour through the ammo aisle. Couldn't believe it when I saw 13 boxes of 500 count 45 auto. 3 big signs, limit 1. It was the only thing I brought to the cashier. 50something lady scans it. Looks at her screen. Looks at the label on the box and asks me if there are 45 in there. For some reason I quickly knew what was going on and the limited intellect I was dealing with. Not wanting to use a big words, I answered that 45 was the size and there were 500 in the box. She called the front end manager over and asked her what to do. Manager explained to her that the entire box was considered qty 1. Mrs. Einstein thought I was 499 over my limit of 1. I'm still laughing on the inside.

Two places I HATE to shop in let alone walk into:

Wal-Mart and Walgreens

For some reason they have the most braindead liberal morons on the planet working there. I guess they weren't smart enough to work at McDonald's!

I ONLY go to Wal-Mart for ammo!

And she probably knows more about guns and ammunition than the people writing our gun control laws.

I couldn't agree more! I spent 60$ at Walgreens on random bathroom stuff and batteries the other day. Only to have my 2 20's and 2 10's checked with an ink pen for counterfeit. I asked if things have really gotten that bad and was told yes and received a dirty/suspicious look. F that place, I wont be returning. Not to mention 2 weeks ago there was a pile of used hypodermic needles in the parking lot where kids from 3 local schools pass through at 2:30. I reported the needles to the police and blocked them with my truck till they arrived.

10s and 20s are more commonly counterfeited than 100s around here. They aren't looked at as often. And we run across a few a week.

I can see how they would be easier to pass. However, I still feel like I was treated like a junkie and suspicious. I don't appreciate that and will take my business elsewhere.

You can't "punish" everyone for the actions of a few.

Sorry for swaying the thread.

Our Dear Leader and his chums in Congress are trying very hard to do just that in terms of anti gun legislation. Don

I agree, along with taxes, healthcare, and just about everything else he "does".

I wonder if there is remedial training for being a cashier.

I would of just looked at her and said "It's one box." I've learned along time ago that it's better to use fewer, smaller words with some people or they get confused.

Hey, don't make fun of our hardworking legislators. I need to stop by Wal-Mart myself -- my magazines are almost all empty so I'm going to have to buy new magazines!

BTW it's not the junkies that are passing them. And it doesn't mean they thought YOU were making them. You could have gotten one in change from someplace else.
