Nothing on my vehicle would make anyone think I have any type of firearm in or near it. I don't want the hassle or curiosity.

White spot on a white wall. Or black spot on a black wall. I'm an equal opportunity spot on the wall.

Never understood the reason for putting firearm related stickers you your vehicle. I won't even wear my GSSF hat in public.

But if we were all the same it would be a pretty boring world we live in.

Please black/or white out your lic. plate #.

As SOON as you are sure that a major SHTF situation has occurred, head home. That should give you a 1-2 jump on most people. You average Joe will hang around work. discussing the situation with everyone else, wondering when the lights are coming back on, and such.

Beat them to the street. If you get a jump on them, then it is less likely that you will need your firearm to get home. Even if you're walking, by time everyone else realizes how serious the problem is, you can be half way home.

My walk home unfortunately takes me right through the ghetto very dark part of town, think My walk would be at night as I work closing at the c-store so it would be a night walk.
People have asked why take body armor to the range, well I train that way so I am proficient should I ever have to use everything.
I work alone so nobody to hang with I'm on my own...

I've always wondered why people advise against this. Liscense plates are, afterall, "public" by design. Any joe blow can walk by your car and see your plate, so why the big deal if an image of it ends up online?

All those stickers just scream smash and grab for a gun. I sure hope you park your car in a secured area. All that gear on the streets is a body count waiting to happen.

Any joe walking by your car is probably on a mission and not trying to fight the boredom of sitting in mom's basement with nothing but a computer, phone, and a mischievous streak.

Phone in his car as stolen.
Describe his car in a road rage report.
Call in an anonymous tip and describe him, his car, and contents.

You get the idea.

just curious Sheriff..
Well assuming all is legal in your state, and I run your background and you don't have any criminal history that would disqualify you from possessing a weapon, I may just ask a couple basic questions about where you're going or coming from and carry on a polite and friendly conversation while going through my usual procedure. I would mainly be looking to get a feel for your attitude/demeanor and see if you eventually get your story (not that you're lying) mixed up. If you do, that would be a red flag. When you tell the truth, you don't have to remember your story, and believe me, I'll notice if you slip up.

DW - That's an awesome setup. I have a similar in my POV but no helmet or armored plates, however I do have body armor IIIA in a molly carrier.

My rifle is a Remington 7615P (no pics now maybe later) with collapsable pistol grip stock. I carry 4 20 round magazines.

Because you never know. I gotta agree with the folks talking about the advertising. Better no one know what your likes in guns is...the molon labe sticker would be good enough, but that's just me.

Remember a few years ago when famous harmonica player John Popper was busted when his driver was pulled over for speeding and they smelled pot smoke in the suv? He had a pretty nice collection of stuff in a special drawer and lights on the truck, etc.

I just keep a .22 pistol with a silencer, rope, duct tape, several large garden trash bags, crowbar, plastic zip ties, spade, and my good shovel...you know the usual stuff. Did I say I like large cars with plenty of truck space?

Based on the stickers in the back window I would pick your car from a lot of many cars to break into if I needed a gun.

Even if someone doesn't get the gun, they still might break into the car because of all the advertising.

Really?? How's the officer going to see that unless the door's open. I've been driving for 40 years and have been stopped about 5 times. Never been asked to get out of the car or truck. You must have a lot more experience with traffic stops. However, I cannot and do not carry a loaded gun in my truck.
Have a good day. Mike
