Gen 3 Glock 9mms that work fine?

Who here has bought a gen 3 Glock 9mm WITHIN THE LAST COUPLE YEARS that works like it is supposed to?

I know recent production 9mm Glocks, particularly in Gen 3, are infamous for BTF and other issues, but I'm wondering if the problem isn't blown way out of proportion. So lets hear about your recent production Gen 3 Glocks in 9mm that are problem free.

I have one that is less than 5 years old. I have had only one major problem, the little nub at the end of the striker broke clean off. I was at the range loaded at the firing line. Pulled the trigger and nothing. Did all the proper malfunction drills, still nothing. Removed the magazine and checked the primer and it was not even touched by the striker. I then removed the slide and inspected the striker and breech area. Thats when I found that the striker nub had broken off. Other than that the gun runs good to date. Those dam strikers are not cheap!

I have to guess that there are far more recent third generation 9mm Glocks that are fine than there are examples that have issues.

I would have guessed that Glock would have replaced the striker without cost.

I'm still leery about buying a new 9mm Glock.

My 2006 G19 runs great.

I purchased a 17 last fall and a 19 in December or January. Both Gen3, both work perfectly.

I have a Gen 3 G26 and G19 purchased new within the last 15 months. I have 1, 100 rounds through the 26 without any type of failure. G19 has 600 rounds without any issues.

I kinda am too. The dealer I usually buy from says he's never had a Glock come back with issues save for a few very early Gen 4s that only required a recoil spring change. He has been selling he crap out of gen 3 17s and 19s lately too.

Purchased a G17 6 weeks ago and and now have 500 rounds through it without any issue. No BTF or any other. I have actually added 3 Glocks in the past 8 weeks, 2 in 40 and the 1 in 9mm, and have had no problems with any of them. The G23 and G27 and now my primary carry weapons. Personally wouldn't carry a 9mm but for the range it has been flawless.

I have a late Gen 3 G19 test fire date 11-18-11. No BTF, FTF,FTE. Runs like a Glock should.
