53 and never been drunk. It is not a religious issue for me. I don't like the taste. I like being in control of my actions. I have seen many, many drunk people regret their actions under the influence. I have never had to suffer that.

For those of you who don't drink, you may want to consider trying some red wine. A glass a day is good for you. Life's too short to not enjoy its varied (legal) pleasures.

I know a guy who's daughter got in a wreck the 1st time(I know that's what they all say, close to it anyway) she was sorta drunk. It's good you took the keys away.

It's much better for your entire body if you never start in the first place. The "one glass a day" bit is for people that already drink and have already subjected their bodies to alcohol's damaging properties.

Why would I want to drink something I don't like the taste of? There are many ways to get the same benefit. Like drinking grape juice as an example.

Life is too short to do things you don't like.... unless you really have to. Drinking alcoholic beverages is not something you really have to do.

my other 2 friends sam and his wife on the other hand, they're still doing the zombie shuffle and turning plaid everytime they move too fast. lol

then there's me. i too have a weapons grade hangover, but i'm about to go start yard work and sweat it out while chugging a few hundred gallons of water.
First time drinking, no hangover, and a big breakfast to boot. Congrats. You just turned him into an alcoholic

Brain surgery is one of the simplest things a human can do. I've never done it, but I'm an expert on how easy it is and what I can accomplish by doing it.

However, the difference between U.S. annual per capita alcohol consumption (8.6 litres per year)[13] and French consumption (11.4 litres per year) is only 2.8 litres per year more.[14] Alcohol consumption in France is lower than in Luxembourg (15.6 litres), the Czech Republic (13.0 litres), Hungary (13.6 litres), Germany (12.0 litres), and Croatia (12.3 litres) where no similar paradoxes are observed.

There is a lack of medical consensus about whether moderate consumption of beer, wine, or distilled spirits has a stronger association with longevity. Of ten major studies, three found stronger evidence for wine, three for beer, three for liquor, and one study found no difference between alcoholic beverages.[15]
So.. um.. no. I think I'll stick with my stance on the subject.

I've never been drunk, I've had a nice comfortable buzz but haven't been drunk. Back in high school in Michigan at a party as soon as I walked in the door I was nominated to make sure everyone got home safe after the party. For some reason that title just stuck all through HS, as soon as I walked in the party area I was bombarded with keys. I never really fought it and had fun watching everyone else get wasted.

I'd have a couple drinks if nobody I was with needed a ride home after the party but never drank much.

i think the sob got lucky and dodged the bullet on his first drinking adventure.
How long did he sleep? As long as I get a sold rest afterward, I'm fine. Granted, I have a pretty good tolerance built up at this point, but I've always been that way.

I was born and raised in Texas. While I was in college, Playboy did an article on the top beer drinking schools in the country. They did not rank my school because they did think it was fair to rank the professionals in with the amateurs.

You guys are lightweights. My dad drank his scotch and waters 32 ounce tumbler. Not watered down, just that big. A case of beer was not a big night.

I had all the opportunity in the world to be a drinker. I don't like the taste, so I don't drink. I don't like the taste of broccoli, so I don't eat that either. What is so hard to understand?
