Ati gsg 44

Just bought one of these tonight at the LGS.

General Firearms Forum

It is a really convincing copy of a STG44 only in .22 LR (not that I have ever handled a real one). I was so amazed to find such an interesting rifle just sitting on the shelf and realized that if I thought it over the rifle would probably sell out from under me.

Much neater than the MP5 clones. Real pics to follow.

Paid $570 which is at least 5% below retail list price.

The original Sturm is one sexy beast. The .22 looks cool.

Looks cool, one of my friends had the first run of GSG-5 and it worked great

Too bad .22lr is about as hard to find as 7.92×33mm Kurz

Honestly this is why im not real worried about it..I have MAYBE 1500-2000 rounds on hand...I could see it being ZERO if we had that already

Having handled and shot (blanks) an original Stg44 as well as your version.....they are VERY close. Dimensionally almost identical, weight is pretty close. The .22 weighs a tiny bit less (the original's around 11lb) but it feels nearly identical in the hand. More so than the MP5 clones (having shot the GSG and a lot of real MP5s) since the '44 clone weighs closer to the actual weight than the GSG does to the MP5.

Have not shot the .22 StG-44 yet but one is on my 'eventually' list.

I bought one a few months ago... it is a very nice carbine (one of the few guns I have that I can afford to shoot)... kinda heavy for a .22 but what a solid platform.
