Mine was an utter POS. There's a pic below of the type of jamming issues I was having. Went back to DB once for that, then the trigger broke on me in around 100 rounds. Sent it back again, and then sold it to someone on the boards with full disclosure. Hope it's working for him. No way I'd trust one.

Such a familiar story for DB products. People love the ergonomics, but the guns just.don't.work.

Hopefully they fixed the DB9 frame rails cracking, trigger falling apart and not resetting issues. I'd put a few more hundred rounds through it before carrying it.

When I got it home I loaded the mag up and hand cycled through the Mag. Everything fed and ejected as it should have. I then walked out to my range and shot a magazine of Blazer 115. I aimed at a paint can positioned 20' away and shot a very respectable group. I reloaded the mag and dumped another 6 rounds on the target. The trigger was very "Kahr-like" with a similar reset. A quick look at the trigger cam explains that. I ended up shooting about 75 rounds through the gun without a problem.

Later in the day my brother and dad came over. We went back outside and shot some Glocks. I pulled out the little DB9 and emptied the magazine in a target from 20'. Once again, no problems.

My dad asked if he could give it a whirl and pumped 2 magazines through it without an issue.

Then, my brother shot it. His second round failed to feed. He tapped the slide and it chambered. Two shots later, same thing. I loaded up a magazine and emptied it, no problems. Have it back to him and his 2nd round failed to feed. I took the gun, tapped the slide and finished of that magazine. I put 2 more mags through it trouble free. My dad out 2 more mags through it as well, no issues. My brother picked it up, same problem as the other two tries.

I ended the session by shooting 24 rounds through it without incident.

So.... This leaves me perplexed. Had I shot it alone I would be here telling everyone how reliable it was. If my dad had been with me, same story. My brother can't get 2 to fire in a row but is an excellent shooter.

All in all we put over 200 rounds trough the gun today. The only failures were when my brother shot it and he couldn't get it to run for him.

As far as the gun goes. It's a joy to shoot. Recoil was nothing like people warned and felt like a PM9 or PM40.

Well, I have one, and it works great. I requires a VERY firm grip. Not forgiving of any slack in the grip. Hold it tight, and it runs great. Get the least bit lose, and you do clearing drills. My friend can't get through a mag, but he also limps his block. Runs like a champ for me.

The DB9 is crap. Diamondbacks .380's and entry level AR's are ok but that DB9 is horrible. I owned one, and I hate to even talk about it. M&P Shield, XDs, Sig P938, Walther PPS, the list of small carry guns goes on and on and on, why chose the only turd laying in a pile of diamonds?

It's not in the same league as my Kahr, Beretas or Glocks, but it does run and run well. It's a very compact 9mm, and if you've got the grip, it may work for you.
