Hello from central Michigan...not far from Lansing. I get to GR for work nearly every week at least. Welcome!

I live in Laingsburg also, in the city limits.

I hunt off of Pittsburg Road. (Got a doe with my G20SF out there last year).

And I'm a member of Looking Glass River Sportsman Club, which I imagine some of you are/were also.

I'm in the city limits too...right on E. Grand River, just 2 or 3 blocks east of downtown.
Never been a member of Looking Glass...thought about it though. I took my CPL class there, given by Mike Slomkowski, a few years ago.

I live about a half mile from you then - in the fairly new sub on the north side of Doyle Road.

I was at Looking Glass last night. I'd say Capital City in Williamston is a better facility and the dues are cheaper by $40 per year but it's probably 80 minutes and 2-3 gallons of gas to get there, roundtrip. So shooting more than four times per year, Looking Glass is really the better value.

And I'm fairly new to Looking Glass but I like the board decisions there more. Capital City had some good pistol stuff (steel and IDPA stuff) and they sold it all, last year. On the other hand, Looking Glass is now considering moving toward hosting IPDA, IPSC, GSSF, etc.

I believe they are $120 per year, discounted to $100 if you volunteer.

Sounds like they might be doing some new stuff there soon. There's an old ball field and adjacent pavillion between the 7-yard pistol area and the archery range. They used to host little leagues and softball tournaments but don't anymore. So there's talk of what they could do (IDPA, GSSF, etc) to bring in people and revenue by converting the ball field area.
