I don't watch bad movies.

I usually read reviews before going to see a movie, so I avoid most of the stinkers. The rare times when I go and it sucks I can tell pretty quick so I leave and get a refund.

I'm into B horror movies and worse. Seen lots of independent stuff, some shot on camcorders. Some REALLY bad. If I had to vote one, I would pick a movie called Peeping Tom. The reason being, it had made several "Top Ten Horror Movies of All Times" lists, some it made number one. Because of this, I HAD to watch it. It was SO bad, I had to watch it in three separate sitting, because I could only get through 25 minutes or so at a time. My wife bailed at the first sitting, and laughed as I struggled to get through it.

Seen it quite some time ago. I seem to remember it was pretty bad, but had lots of "visuals" to get me through it.

So that waste of film does serve a purpose on this earth.

Didn't see this one mentioned:

I grew up liking monster movies. So I gave that new Godzilla movie a shot a while back... Ugh...

The original King Kong vs Godzilla - the baseball sequence...

But overall it wasn't bad.

Threads like this - best or worst - always just turn into opinion threads. A lot of the movies mentioned here might not be to someone's tastes, but that doesn't make them bad.

Case in point: someone mentioned Napoleon Dynamite. I don't like this movie, I don't get the hype for it, thought it was just about the most boring couple of hours I've ever spent. But it's not a BAD movie. Technically, it's shot well, the script holds true to itself, and the acting/deliveries are balanced throughout. I'll never watch it again, but that's just my opinion.

Another example: Personally, I can't stand anything by Tarantino. None. I can't stand his directorial "vision", his style doesn't mesh with me. It's jarring, distracting, and annoying. But I know why Tarantino is a groundbreaker and held up as one of the best modern filmmakers in the world. His style doesn't work for me, but it has revolutionized a fairly stagnant industry. (and yes, I've seen them all. I've often described Tarantino as Lucy to my Charlie Brown - the trailers, they set up the football and I decide "This one will be better!" and I end up on my back every time).

The Room, on the other hand, is just a flat-out bad movie. The script makes no sense. The shooting was lousy. From what I heard, the director didn't know whether film or digital would be better, so he strapped two cameras side-by-side. He had a character that the actor quit, and rather than recasting, he brought in another actor, gave him a different character name, and had him just read the lines from the first character. There is, simply, NOTHING good to be said about that movie.

Also a terrible movie. Still, Kevin Costner and Postman is worse.

I gotta call foul on this one. Kung Pow; Enter the Fist, was SUPPOSED to suck. The movie was intentionally written and produced to be even crappier, more stupid and nonesensical than the "chop socky" kung fu movies it parodies.

And boy, did they ever succeed!

Freddy Got Fingered

I couldn't make it past the selection menu on the DVD. Maybe if they had kept snippets of some scenes out of the menu might have gotten past the opening credits.

perhaps one has to be into that film genre (Kung-Fu / Karate Man) to appreciate the irony. BUT...when a buddy recommends the movie and says it HILARIOUS...I was sold a bill of goods!!

Parody or not, it was turrible.

The movie with Umma Thurman and the giant thumbs (Even Cowgirls Get the Blues) is worse than Zardoz, and Zardoz is without a doubt one of the worst movies ever made.
