"When the ship hits the sand..." no man knows.

But in Luke 21, some hints of the impending end of the age include:
-wars and rumors of wars
-great earthquakes
-famines
-pestilences
-signs in the heavens
-persecution of Christians
-Jerusalem compassed by armies (this might be the time to flee to the mountains). But amidst all the fear and slaughter, look up and know that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Then you will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Watch and be ready.

It depends upon what you mean by collapse - Mad Max; probably won't happen.

But, look at Greece & Spain now. Or look at the USA during the Great Depression. Then there is the SHTF holy grail of New Orleans during Katrina. I don't like that example generally but it fits as an indicator sometimes.

Well then, the end has been happening for about 4000 plus years. I guess that means slow.

This country has been failing economically for the last 12 years. It has been failing morally for the last 45 years.

The economy is on the brink of collapse.
The country is more divided politically today than any time since the civil war.
The country is at it's farthest point to the left of center in it's history. (extreme left is total government control, i.e, either communism or fascism, extreme right is no control, i.e, anarchy).

Having said that we are beyond the tipping point. We will simply continue to slowly sink into a passive socialist state but will never totally collapse.

I know that I can not predict when it happens because I am too in tune to the subject. I believe that this applies to the details of how fast it will happen too.

So here is my guess:

We live in the age of rapid communications and if things go south we will all know it quickly.

Anyone else notice how common digital pricing is becoming in our local stores? At least they will be ready for twice daily price increases...

I agree that the panic and fear of the people could happen faster.

True, like war or working the streets on patrol.

You received about as much warning as the Russian folks with the recent meteor.

Keep that in mind. From an engineering standpoint, history as shown time and time again lengthy warnings unheeded leading to an exponentially fast failure mode.

Here we go, that's getting close.

Here we go...Bingo. The dollar is definitely in sad shape and yet we keep printing money. Soon it will be worthless. The country is absolutely divided, and the big question is, what will the military do? Total collapse? I pray not for my kids, but, I have prepared them and continue to do so.

This article is a wake up call.........when Wally World has trouble stocking shelves, we should pay attention. No doubt, their "just in time" supply system has something to do with it, but still the system is breaking down.

The problem is that it is not clear whether the problem arises due to internal operations or supply chain issues.

But it does point out the issue that in times of trouble the shelves would be bare quickly.

The "just in time" supply method is one that WW has mastered and destroyed the competition with. I'd say the suppliers are in deep do do, since the system operates on their backs.
WW might have to abandon their method for a more conventional approach.

I hate to break it to you, but I've been following this sub forum since 2005, and this is one thing that we cannot do. At least not successfully and certainly not reliably.

That has been shown time and time again.

that would be really nice. i drive long haul. have delivered to many walmart distribution centers. most will not let you in if you are more than 60 min early. and if you are 1 min late, not actually arriving there, but waiting for the lazy paper pushers to get to you in line, they make you wait 6-8 hours before they will unload your trailer.

most other places are happy if you arrive early.

How can they do that to you? If there is an accident on the interstate - it isn't your fault.

You didn't get it............... "We can practically predict the future by listening to the latest denials by the idiot Bernanke...........whatever he is denying (will happen) this week/month is exactly what will happen."

Maybe. Maybe not.

Regardless of the methodology, people in general, including in this sub forum, have a pretty poor track record with making predictions of the future.
