a question for Eric/mod concerning "no more police, political, cl in GNG"

I guess I may have assumed wrongly that the Cop Talk forum was a place for LEO professionals to discuss issues related to their profession. It is presented that way by the LE professionals there as well as the mod. Any dissenting view is met with quite a bit of hostility.

I do understand this and also that much is carried to the extreme by both sides. I am pretty much pro LE, I am not and never will be in the camp that any/every action by LE is justified.

I guess I'm asking for a clarification on the Cop Talk forum and who is welcome there.

Cop talk is open to anyone, the problem is with trolls. People who go there solely for the purpose of harassing other people. If you are polite and sincere with questions most of the time I have seen there is no problem, it's when things are worded to provoke a response that it can get heavy.

About the only way to fix the trolls is to have COP Talk private and a leave your badge at the door policy for GNG. That would stop 98% of the "bad" threads in GNG.

cop talk is for every one. but when you start a new thread with, got pulled over by cops and gave me a ticket... or never talk to cops cant be trusted or cop took my guns, why?
kinda shows what side your on and what your looking for..

I went through your last 200 posts and am not able to find where you posted in Cop Talk. That takes us back to 2007, so I'm not sure how you've been made to feel unwelcome there. Stop by, take a quick look at the rules, and have fun.
