I agree w/ "Quigley" shootout and "Heat" shootout.
The final shootout between DeNiro and Pacino in "Heat" was very good, too!
"Tombstone" shootout at the OK Corral was very good.

OP is spot on, collateral is one of the only movies with Tom Cruise i can stand. I appreciate a realistically portrayed gunfight. The car chase and subsequent shooting during the opening of End of Watch is one of my favorites.

Collateral video was shown at my very first CHL class. Watch how Tom Cruise sweeps jacket back, brings weapon close to the body for retention drill, then steps back for second BG and shoots. If you watch several times, its really a hardcore scene for multiple BGs.
