Sounds like a problem that 100 heat-exhaustion based comp cases will fix virtually over night.

Sad, but probably true.

I've never understood that type of thinking. They give you a badge, a gun, a really fast car, a bigger gun, and the power to arrest...but you can't be trusted to dress yourself according to the weather or the occasion.

Or... to turn it around, they entrusted you with all that stuff, they want you to look your best at all times so the public trusts you too.
