Stage Two- Submachine Gun
Stage Two involves one of Chuck's favorite weapons- the submachine gun. The starting position for the SMG (as for the shotgun and rifle) is Rhodesian Ready, and the weapon must be loaded with the safety on.
The candidate begins with shoulder-fired pairs on a single target at 50 meters in three seconds, 40 meters in 2.7 seconds, 30 meters in 2.5 seconds, 25 meters in 1.8 seconds, 15 meters in 1.5 seconds and 10 meters in one second.

Taylor originated the Underarm Assault position for close-range reactive shooting. The candidate uses that position to fire two-round bursts (weapons set on full-auto) at seven meters in one second, five meters in 0.8 seconds and three meters in 0.5 seconds!

As with the Handgun Stage, multiple targets are engaged, but in the SMG stage, they are spread further apart and must be hit with a burst of two shots. The distance is seven meters and the time is 2.5 seconds for three targets. Trigger control is paramount during the testing with the submachine gun. Additional shots fired beyond the two-shot burst requirement are penalized full value.

Head shots are next in 1.5 and two seconds, respectively. The final portion of the SMG Stage is a demonstration of reloading skills. Unlike shooting-range based IPSC speed-loading drills, Taylor's reloading methods do not needlessly abandon magazines. When it comes time to recharge the weapon on far-flung battlefields far away from supply lines or neighborhood gun stores, you will need those magazines or you will soon be out of the fight. Taylor teaches a version of the Tactical Reload for long guns that is both quick and efficient. At 10 meters the candidate must utilize that technique twice in a "shoot two, reload, shoot two" exercise... time available is only five seconds.

I saw one in digital camo used by the Marines and it actually looked good! I doubt that it was cerakoted though, it may have been spray painted.

One other option is to use Camoform tape...it's a heat resistant tape that has assorted finishes on it, you just wrap it around your gun...if you don't like it, you just take it off, no muss, no fuss

If the tape gets wet, then yes, the gun may rust. The tape is removable and reusable, if it stops being sticky, you just wash the tape with soapy water, let fit dry and them wrap again

Just pass by SOE I think they have around a few more rolls left.

I just rotate the gun w/ my right shoulder , and disengage the trap door w/ my thumb

owning one is easy
getting the gun to the range and shooting one can be a pain
I have only 2 week permit to shoot it
And for some reason, everytime I get a permit a typhoon comes and floods our range

People tend to overestimate their effectiveness beacuse of the noise they make

M3 / M3A1 ROF is much lower than most SMG's.
Getting single pops off is no huge problem.

It's all relative.
Baby-sized assault rifles certainly bring more to
the table, and they've displaced SMG's to some
extent, but SMG's seem to fit a certain niche,
for example those who have an easier time with
sourcing pistol-caliber ammo than rifle.

I wasnt wearing ear protection nun
I couldnt distinguish sa tunog whether i was shooting singles or 2 shots
When i looked at the video, mabilis din naman pala si grease gun ( though slower nga then most smgs)

I've played around w/ both the grease gun and cz scorpion
Inside room distances , parang mabilis pa pistol
from acquiring targets, shooting multiple targets twice, or just moving quickly

10m onwards where a shoulder mountd weapn is faster, a single shot from an ak or 223 mabilis pa sa isang burst from the smg
wala naman ako alam on these guns , just an observation
The 50k czech AK is just as compact as an smg

but masarap lang talaga paglaruan ang smg
