GLOCK 30s video by...................
You guessed it hickok45, he does excellent videos if you guys haven't checked him out. Can anyone spot the range malfunction.

Great review, as always. He's one of my favorites to watch, because he really speaks his mind and is very honest about whether he likes something, or doesn't. He always says something clever, too:
"We're out here shooting some 230 gr. .45ACP...is there any other bullet for the .45ACP?..."
There were a few other times during this particular video where he had me laughing. Great guy, and I really enjoy his reviews a lot!

Great video! I have always enjoyed hickok45's videos because he doesn't just shoot, he measures and compares other guns to the one he is shooting.
I also like to see the 30s doing good. Every round ejected just fine with no shooting malfunctions in his video.

Thanks for this vid TSAX. I am very much interested in the 30s. I have been carrying/shooting a G36 since 2002. Getting old is not a good thing because I am now having a nerve issue in the palm of my shooting hand. I can fire all day with my G21 Gen4 without any problems. The G36 has the narrow grip and that seems to be the problem. I hope the 30s will not be an issue beause I like carrying a 45ACP. Again thanks for the vid and I always hickok45s revieiws. He most likely is. Either with ammo or free guns from Glock or both. He is an Glock ambassador !

What I found interesting is the stock 30 barrel and aftermarket barrels will not fit the new 30S slide. I was not aware of that until pointed out in the vid.
Always enjoy his videos as others mentioned. He's honest, one heck of a shot and who wouldn't want that range huh?

I almost bought a 30 but there was a lot of talk of this new Glock coming out so I held off, I'm glad I did. with the Hickok video that sealed the deal, I'll be getting one this summer.

I was already aware that a G30 barrel (factory and aftermarket) is not interchangeable with the G30S barrel from comments by Mas Ayoob, but it was a revelation to me from Greg Hickok's video to discover that the wall thickness of a G30 barrel is greater than a G30S ( jump to segment in video). I hadn't even thought of that when contemplating why it doesn't fit. Frankly, besides reducing the weight, I think Glock did this on purpose so that owners won't experiment in the G30S with commercially available G30 caliber conversion barrels for high-energy rounds such as .460 Rowland, .40 Super and 10mm Auto.
The G30S is designed for 45ACP +P (23K psi) and that's the end of the road. I fear for the G30S owner who is brave enough (reckless) to shoot .45 Super (28K psi) in the G30S factory barrel and slide. I'm anxious enough as it is shooting 45 Super in the G30 factory barrel. The heavier G30 slide and aftermarket barrels are on the ragged edge of sufficient mass to make high-energy caliber conversion feasible, safe and reasonable to shoot comfortably. Even with the heavier slide and barrel, some G30 conversions need a compensator for added mass at lock-up and recoil attentuation (460Rowland and 40Super). IMHO, the G30S is a 45ACP pistol exclusively and that's plenty good for the vast majority of people who will buy the G30S.

I love his videos and am a bit jealous of his shooting ability. He's hitting targets dead center at ranges I'd be happy just to hit the thing.
Speaking of which, I also appreciate that when he misses a shot or flubs a word he just leaves it on camera, doesn't look like he does any editing to cut out any errors, mistakes, etc. Makes it seem a lot more "genuine/natural" to me.

He's getting enough hits on his YT channel to get paid per view. He's also said he gets a lot of test guns from the manufacturers and from other viewers.
I'd love to see a video walk though of his gun safes!!
