Back in 1963 while in the USMC I visited the memorial and what struck me was the oil bubbles still pumping out of the ship to the surface. It gave this old jarhead goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. just as my watching this presentation and the placing of the sailors urn. thank you, Jack
A master chief I worked for in the early sixties was aboard the Arizona and couldn't get the ammo locker open so he dove over the side. Lucky he survived.
Ya, I've met a few Pearl Survivors thru my grandfather who was stationed on the Oglala. She was birthed at pier 7 I think it was and struck by a torpedo. Amazing men, absolutely amazing people.
