I have recently purchased a Kimber Eclipse Custom II chambered in 10mm. After running a few mags through it I realized my reloads are too hot for the gun to cycle properly. Two spent cartridge jams in 3 mags.
I have a g29 with 23 and 21 lb springs it cycles great with the same round.
My question is what combination of spring weights with a New firing pin stop from EGW do yall recomend to run med to hot reloded ammo and what brands do you recommend.
So far Ive read to go with a 23 lb main spring (hammer spring) and a 20 lb recoil spring with the 90 degree firing pin stop small beveled edge. Does this sound close for 10mm? Theres alot of info on 1911's in 45 caliber but not alot for the 10 mm.
Thanks, and any extra info to help a new to 1911 10mm owner would be great. Im a very capable mechanic and machinist, just havent ever owned a 1911.
