So a new indoor range in town is running their first indoor league and I was wondering something, how close to the listed course of fire are they supposed to stick?

First match was 5 10 round strings of fire at 5 distances, each progressively farther with the first 3 and closest 3 on one target and the last 2 and the farthest two on the second target.

They just emailed out the details of the 2nd match:

3 strings of 10 rounds at 3 distances on one target.

Draw from holster and engage target in 20 seconds, reload move target and repeat.

First off never been to any GSSF match that requires drawing from a holster and second how are they going to follow the scoring guidelines with only a 30 round match count.

Just wondering if anyone else had seen this before.

There are 5 set ups I know of for Indoor matches but I've never heard of any Glock match indoor or out that involve draw from holster.

I thought that they used standard set ups so scoring would be on an equal level for all GSSF members.

Maybe someeone with more experience can chime in. I've only been to three indoor matches.

Your local range is straying pretty far from the established rules and 5 approved courses of fire. Each approved course is 50 rounds. There is never drawing from a holster at any GSSF Match, indoor or outdoor.

What is the name of the range?

Bullseye marksman in cumming, ga tends to stray away from the course of fire mentioned on the gssf site. I heard that's a no-no

My guess would be you should stick with these, otherwise your scores won't have much meaning compared to matches around the country.
