Anybody else find the grip texture on the Gen 4's objectionable?
And if so, what did you do?
Got a G19 G4. LOVE the gun, but that textured grip...not so much. Shot an IDPA match yesterday in freezing temps so they allowed gloves. I used a pair of winter golf gloves and it was SO much more comfortable to shoot. Any ideas?

Check out Talon grips. The rubber granulated ones make the gen 4 texture better for concealed carry

I had a gen 4 g22. Like you I didn't like the grip texture. I traded it for a gen 3.
You can try some 500 grit sandpaper. That should smooth it out for you.

I will not buy any more Gen 3 pistols I think... I would trade an UNFIRED 17 gen 3 for an unfired gen4, FTF in fact.

Yes...primary reason I bought a Gen 3 G19...had the chance (back in the day...about 6 weeks ago...when this was possible) to buy either one...immediately did not like the Gen 4 grip texture.

Yes, I have an objection, they aren't grippy enough! RTF2 all the way!

The g4 is the most perfect gun invented. The grip is awesome.

Have not fired gen4. Felt it at gun show, compared to gen3 and bought gen3. No regrets.

Nope dont like the Gen4's RTF grip at all, way to rough and spiky. Gen2 and Gen3 grips are the best IMO. I really love the Gen3 RTF2 grip the best much smaller texture than the Gen4.

I love the Gen4 grips and that's all I would buy from now on. The Gen3 grips are too slippery. I can't use a Gen3 without putting a Talon grip on it.

The Gen. 4 grip is a big improvement over the privious. I use a Hogue grip sleeve on the Gen. 3 which worded out very well and others I have suggested it to who did not like the Gen. 3 grip. Unforunately the Hogue Universal Grip Sleeve will not work well on the Gen. 4. The improved trigger, mag release, grip, and other improvements are such that I can easily and happily live with it.

I don't like the gen 4 grip. If I was to purchase another glock, it would be a gen 3 or gen 2.

If the Gen 4 grip is too rough you must never work with your hands or shoot when your hands are wet. I actually prefer the rougher grip texture of the Gen 3 RTF2 but I prefer the Gen 4 pistols overall. The standard Gen 3 grip is too slick.

Same here. Even IWB with no undershirt, I find the Gen4 texture quite comfortable.

I find the gen 4 grip better than the gen 3. Gen 3 was to slippery in my opinion.

Only the back strap on my 26 Gen 4 was annoying to me. The rest are fine.
All I did was to get some 220 sand paper and sand some of the texture down.
Now it feels superb.
Easy fix.

Do not get the talon granulated grip ( sand paper) style if you plan to CCW . Way to much grip. Stuck to all my cloths and felt like it was ripping skin off if it hit bare skin.

I find the texture on my G19gen4 to be fine! It seems that whatever the feel or texture of any gun, there could be criticizism from some direction. In any case, after using rubber slip-ons on other pistols, I have one on my Glock also! lol I prefer the thinner, stretch on type since they don't add too much thickness to the grip.
