Love the first, but, no. 4 struck a chord with me. My son's favorite movie is no. 3.

The first one is usually the best.

I have 'em all on Blu Ray and watched them all recently. The first one is by far the best. The second and third are okay and the fourth is pretty decent.
Hans Gruber for the win. Alan Rickman makes that movie. The crazy long haired dude with the Aug is pretty cool too.

First one. Akan Rickman is my favorite bad guy. Second one just annoyed the crud out of me, because I live in the DC area, and the whole time I kept thinking, why don't they just freaking land at Andrews?!

Yeah, them too!
it has been so long since I've seen it, I couldn't recall if there was a threat of takeover at the other regular airports, so I grabbed at Andrews. But yeah, it required way too much suspension of disbelief!

Yeah, that one bugs me too. The more you know about aviation the more disbelief you must suspend in that movie.
I still kinda liked it though.
1, 4, 3, 2 in order of liking them.

They were all "fun" but the original..because at the time..well it was like nothing id really seen before. Seen plenty of cop movies and war movies and such but nothing quite like that movie.

Is it just me or did Die Hard 1, 3 and 4 make the Feds look really dumb. And shows about Feds tend to make the PD's look dumb

Die Hard the original is my favorite Christmas movie. It's not Christmas until I go hide from my in laws in my man cave, and pop in the Die Hard Blu ray.
1,3,4,2 is my order of preference.
Looking forward to seeing number 5
