Video: Suppressed Ruger 22/45
Well I finally bought my first Ruger!
I can't wait to modify it! I also scored a brick of PMC moderator subsonic ammo yesterday so I'll have to see if its better than the remington garbage subsonic.

Volquartsen trigger is the best purchase I have made on mine, so much better than stock trigger.

great video as always :-) that is actually the gun I want to get but not to replace my P 22, just as an additional host for my Gemtech Alpine. I love your videos because they are what inspired me to get off my lazy butt and get my suppressor:-) keep them coming and we'll keep watching!

Thanks for the vid. I love my 22/45. I have the larger target model with the bull barrel and removable grips.
A buddy of mine has the threaded model like yours. Awesome pistol.
May have to get a threaded version myself and go through the legal process of getting a suppressor. It's just so much fun to shoot.

Fireman,
Nice video, thanks for posting that.
I have a 22/45 like yours, except that mine came with no sights, only a Picatinny rail on top.
I use an AAC silencer on mine, and I find that I don't need to use subsonic ammo. It's very quiet with regular ammo.
That's not true, however, on my 10/22 rifle with the same silencer. Shooting supersonic ammo in it is like having no silencer at all.

I'll have to try other "bulk pack" 22lr when it becomes available again. I'll chrono it and see if I can find a slightly weaker load so it stays subsonic.

Good morning
Question about your backstop....is it just a dirt mound? If I wanted to shoot in my garage, what would be safe to use as a backstop? MANY layers of cardboard? 2X4s?
Any info is greatly appreciated

For some reason I kept having rounds go supersonic, it sucked as I hate to use the more expensive subsonic.

Weird, maybe the "freebore" effect of your can is enough to push it over. Have you ever chrono'd with/without the can?

I need to.....I'm going to buy a quality chrono soon so I don't have to use my friends.

Great video. I've got the same pistol. About 3 months away on the dedicated can. I'm getting excited.

Wow, great video. I also have the 22/45 with a Sparrow silencer. I love shooting this combo as it has proven extremely quiet with almost every brand of ammo that I have used.
