Can you give some more background?

Is this in the country, or just the angle of the shots looks like it is in the country?

Is this in season?

What happened to the deer that they shot?

Why did they pick the one that they shot?

Why shoot it with a handgun?

Were they called to the scene or just happened upon it?
If they happened upon it, did they call it in?

OR to put it another way, you have not convinced me with this video clip that anything illegal is going on. I would like to see the police use a carbine if possible so they could have made a more precise shot, but then again, I don't know the situation.

I have seen deer get locked together before. It is not very pretty when one breaks the others neck. DNR shot the one that was still alive because it was more humane than letting him starve and they didn't have the ability to shoot the antlers and breakup the lockup.
One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.

To people who don't have kids that thought is true. I see no reason for the Elk to be shot but that is just my opinion.

I just heard on channel 31 KDVR that text messages between the two cops indicates they had been watching the Elk for several days.

should be a pretty simple deal if this proves to be the case, pretty sad day, these guys look like they have given up their careers for a good sized Elk, what a shame.
Don't follow me you won't make it, Glocks, Black Rifles, Hunting rifles and Mathews Bows

Back story on video of 2 deer

Mark Dorencz wrote, "As a proud supporter of PETA, I am appalled at this video. The officer should have comforted the deer prior to shooting at them."
