It's one of those once-in-a-lifetime accomplishments. I've heard it usually takes 4-6 months to do, with lots of resupply points, lol. It's definitely one of my life goals.

The Sergeant Major will have you for breakfast if you don't.

Same reason why some people try to climb all the highest peaks in the world. Just to say that they did. I would love to try it but I don't have the time to take off from the family and the job.

That's my problem right now. I figure I can either do it on my vacations in sections, or wait until I retire to thru-hike it. The problem with that, though, is I have no idea what my health and physical condition will be like then.

Yeah, we're only doing a section that'll be around 50 miles or so. Just a week. I'd love to thru hike it, but same issue. It'll take months and I don't know what my condition will be like when I can retire at 55.

If I can afford to, I might go back and do something like that on my second week of vacation this year in September. I'll just have to see what my finances allow then.

Guess it's worth it. We have similar trips in Europe but they usually have some religious connection and are not that long I think.

Feel better, dude.
I was laid out for a few days with the flu, feeling was worse than death.

I think you gave it to me. I've been off and on with this bug for half of forever it seems like. I started with a bad headache on the edge of being a migraine last night, and it's still lingering around. I might have to bang in tomorrow; I'm barely functional as it is right now.

I may have to take your advise. I've been not feeling quite right for over a week, but not enough to really take me out of the game. I have a feeling if I keep this pace up I will end up down and out for a while. Feel better!

Dont know what it is this winter, but like you said CJ its just an on and off of beeing sick for months now. Usually I have like one or two weeks per winter that I am sick - cant change that, its always the same, mostly not even winter but more like autumn. This year I cant wait for the winter to end so it finally gets warmer. We got a lot of fresh snow during the night.
