[Big Bore Fan]

Hey guys. I bought my first chrono last week, a Beta Master. I finally got a chance to take it out and try it today and wanted to list my results and see what you guys think. All of these where worked up well before I got the chrono.

.223 77gr SMK Tac powder (don't have charge amount in front of me) 16" AR

When I worked this load up I was going for accuracy not so much speed.

.223 55gr Hornady FMJ. This is my pinking load that gave the best accuracy. Win 748 powder.

Congratulation on your new Chrono, all the new possibilities this will open up for you AND not shooting it! You'll be able to do things with your reloading you would other-wise not be able to do.

I love when folks post their range reports & numbers.

Right now I would say yes. I've only used it once though, and still learning. I did have a few shots not read but don't know if it was me, change in sun or the chrono. The instructions say to mark the rods at 4 and 6 inches to use as aiming points for open sights and scoped guns. I found that regardless of optic the 6in mark worked best. Oh, and it was about 45deg out to.

I started looking at Chronograph's. The Oehler 35P must be top shelf, but can't seem to find it other than at the factory. Pretty expensive at $575.
