I am not sworn yet, but the Sheriff I hope to work for has said in no uncertain terms we will not be enforcing any ban here. I am in the middle of the reserve course, my certification lapsed so I had to take it again. In training before I was told I could be prosecuted for violating civil rights. The new sheriff has said he considers the proposed laws and executive orders a violation of civil rights.

Well, sure, but other than posting images on GT in Cop Talk where everyone agrees, what are you doing to encourage others in LE to join the cause?
Are you talking to your local Sheriff?
Are you talking to local police chiefs?
How about cops on the street? Are you talking to them?
What is the consensus among those with whom you've talked?

Kind of like on the internet forums - People continually flip someone off who they know is obligated to not break the rules in response. Yeah, usually that type of stupidity eventually yields the rewards that are earned.
And then there are those trying so hard to be offended that they're imagining things that haven't even been said in a thread.
