Think that secret local number is only manned during regular office hours - 9-5 Sandy Eggo time.

Most every company involved in the sale of guns and gun parts has been severely impacted by the "Hurricane Katrina" of the gun world. Every company is different, so the impacts on each are different. Some companies are probably over-staffed to begin with, and others operate on a "shoe-string".

But even the best are severely impacted by this "happening", caused by things we all know about. One of the biggest problem causes is, those of us with guns, haven't adequately prepared ourselves for this situation, and are scrambling to get better prepared. Then there are all of those who just haven't gotten into guns, that now see that they should. And with both of these happening at the same time, POW - "hurricane".

Not enough stock and supply chain to do anything like meet the demand of the public. Yes, we are pretty well spoiled by the greatness of online ordering and online order info! But, when "crap happens" to the supply world, doncha think we need to be a little more tolerant and understanding, since we do know what is going on in all of this????

It will take some time, but all good suppliers will recover, get their stocks back up, and probably be "overstocked", when all of this slows back to normal!

I ordered hi-cap mags from Glock Store on Christmas day, and received them about 3 weeks later.

Good post - thanks. Think most of us are tolerant and and understanding up to the point of refusal to answer phones, email, and web messages off their website. Do business with a lot of other "overwhelmed" companies. So far Glockstore is the only one I've encountered that doesn't respond at all. At times it even seems they shut down their website because the drop down options needed to place an order weren't working. Shutting off communication with prospective customers is definately "different."

Just reached Daniel at the "858" number. Very pleasant young man that cancelled my order without question or incident. I greatly appreciate the member for posting the "858" number.

I wish they had not pretended to have items in stock, allow me to order, then fail to offer any type of "communication" after the "sale". Misleading and misrepresentation to say the least. I don't like being tricked and held hostage. Thank you again for the direct line number. Worked like a charm.

I placed an order with Glock Store on the 2nd of December which included a Lone Wolf conversion barrel, I can't get in touch with them and have seen no barrel. The suckage is strong with this one.

Hey GroundtheGear, I ordered night sights and a tungsten recoil spring assembly and 4 fingertip floorplates for my G23 mags on January 11th. At that time, the website said it would take 3-5 days to process orders. After about 8-9 days, my order also showed pending. I called a number of times, only to get a busy signal every time. I sent an e-mail. No response.at about the 11th day, my account showed that my card was charged and a day or two later, I received my items.

I think most that have replied do understand and are tolerant! What we dont like is the lack of communication from the Glockstore! Not answering the phone or the pop-up leave a message thingy! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I too greatly appreciate Riverkilt for his posting the "858" number. I had been unsuccessfully calling GlockStore's "800" number for two days. I was able to get a live-person answer, on the "858" line, the second time I dialed. My cell phone timed out, on my first attempt, after almost 3 minutes of ringing. I needed to change my credit card number on a "Pending Order" because the CC number was fraudulently used last week in California. The GlockStore personnel were very courteous and helpful. Thanks again to Riverkilt for sharing this information with other members of the GlockTalk Forum.

Mind if I ask what you ordered? I've had an order submitted for Glock 19 mags since December 19. The order has yet to move out of pending status.

Also, if it's of benefit to anyone with an order in the queue, here's the response I received from GlockStore (via Facebook) regarding my order status. And for clarification, the other site that's referenced is not Glockmeister but the the production GlockStore site (I ordered from the beta site).

"All gun and mag orders should expect significant delays in fulfillment. Other orders are processed in the order received. You may be waiting 90 days or more. At this point, we can not provide estimates on new stock arrival.
Orders from both sites are downloaded and put into the queue for processing daily. Yours will be processed in the order it was received.
To make adjustments to your order, you will need to call the customer service line at 800-601-8273
Please understand you may need to make several attempts when calling as our phones are ringing constantly with residual holiday orders and customer service questions. We appreciate your patience.
If you would like to cancel your order, let me know. I can do that without the need for you to call.
The delays we are experiencing are due to the current unprecedented demand for gun related products. We appreciate your understanding, and ask for your patience while we process the orders we currently are working to fulfill. Exercising restraint and patience will allow us more resources to dedicate to that effort."

This demand must be so overwhelming that hiring and training more staff and putting in more phone lines and extra shifts to deal with it and make money from it must not be an option...

My prediction is that it ain't gonna stop for a long time...stuff flys off the shelf as soon as it comes in - no matter what the type of gun business. Current staff at all the gun products companies must be totally burned out and fried - management too. Can't be pretty.

Demand overwhelms supply...gotta dust off your old economics textbooks to find examples of that beyond teenage fashion fads.
