More Ignorant Smart Phone Questions
Sorry, but I really have no clue as to how to best utilize my new Galaxy SIII.
How do I get more aps? Is there a website I can go to, to see what aps are available with good descriptions? And do I then go to that site on my phone and download them?
And how do I download music? What service should I use? I have a music player on my phone, but it doesn't have any button to hit to take me to a spcific site to download music. I kinda figured that the phone would come with pre-loaded links to websites that I can buy music from.
I would love to use my phone at the gym, so I could listen to good music to keep me moving while doing cardio.

Want to buy music? Either from Google Play or from Amazon MP3 store.
Want to just listen to music, Pandora, Slacker, i<3radio, etc.
All available from the play store, which will be right on your phone.

If you already have MP3's you listen to on your PC just hook your phone up to your PC via usb and transfer the files over. There isn't any reason to buy them again.

Thanks.
Yeah, I've got that ap on my phone. But because I have not had a contracted cell plan in years, I'm hesitant to go into that ap looking for music. I'm afraid I will set myself up for some never-ending music plan that I can't stop getting charged for.
Am I then required to set-up some sort of account to pay for the music I down-load? Or does it get added to my phone bill?

Set up an Amazon account. It will get charged to your credit card. Amazon is great, I use it for all sorts of things and I'm a Prime member which means most of the items I order (physical items) get delivered to my front door in two days for free shipping. Any music or app purchases you do get billed to a credit card, not your phone bill. I have an iPhone BTW, but it's still the same idea.
Your CC will only be charged for things you buy, it's not like it was back in the 80's when you joined a record/CD club and kept getting albums and CD's delivered to your house that you didn't order!
