That DNA stuff is powerful medicine.
I wonder how much of our faith and belief in DNA as all-conclusive evidence is influenced by TV shows like CSI, etc...? IDK.

The DNA evidence to exonerate him in this case is pretty slim. On the other hand the bite evidence to convict him was pretty slim as well.
The odds of being randomly murdered is pretty low, while the odds that the murderer during a divorce proceeding is a spouse is very high. Everybody knows OJ killed his wife, the prosecutor just couldn't prove it because of the race card.
I would pretty much bet that he killed his wife and that he is getting off easy only doing 14 years.

Or he didn't kill his wife and it took 14 years in prison before the wrong was corrected.

I have followed this case for many years.
He broke the 'Blue Wall of Silence' rule. In the time before his wife murder, he jammed up fellow officers who were guilty of corruption.
He conviction was payback for breaking the code.

I don't think I would consider DNA from the clothing in the area of an known bite to be 'slim'.

If this is the case, then they did a terrible job of planting enough evidence against him at the first trial. And they had a third party bite the wife? The lab now has a viable DNA profile. If that biter's DNA ever gets into the system, all kinds of bells and whistles will be going off.

I remember the case. It's been 15 years already??
IIRC there was no robbery. I think most of us know who the likely killer is.

In my opinion, her killer.
Who is the killer? I have no idea.
I still have no idea.
To be perfectly honest, until this thread, I didn't even know she was killed.
Blue Wall closing in?
As per my above post, when presented with DNA evidence, how does one look at it critically? IDK.

His wife was a doctor, her attacker may have been after drugs.
IIRC the video of the shooting was suppressed by the court. It showed her attacker being right handed about 5'7", Doug Parade was left handed and 6'2".
