Not only for the deep humor contained within, but to give you some insight as to the actual intelligence of those of us here. Even when joking, we contain enough knowledge to scare mere mortals. No brag, just fact.

And if you like sci-fi, by ALL means, read the books by member MinervaDoe. Chronos is excellent, and relevent !

I confess to having forced myself into ignorance in the past few years, after having been an avid reader of specifically, military science fiction. Is this what we are speaking of? I was a fan of not only the "Hammers Slammers" series but very into the "Dorsai" as well. I would love to find an excuse to jump back in.

On the way as of this afternoon

I haven't torn into any good military sf in a long time.

Heck, I even enjoyed "Phule's Company"

If it's in the mail, then it must be the paperback version of Chronos. Chronologically, it's the second book in the series, but it was the first one written. It has less dialogue than the others. I hope you enjoy it.

Indeed it is. I told my wife about it and she immediately looked it up and ordered it. I somehow got the feeling that it might have been the actual start, or first written for some reason.

Reality is better, watching those on drugs who may need crutches after all is said and done! Here is what drugs can do to help violent crimes;http://ssristories.com/index.php

VERYACCURATE AND ADDICTIVE.

Check this one out !

See how good you are with a Russian pistol.

All text is in Russian.
Save black powder and money!

When the pistol appears, click on the trigger, aim, and fire. It's really self-explanatory.
You have 3 shots in 30 seconds to hit the target and get your score.

It's addictive.

Shadow, how does it work to hold the pistol still & maintain sight alignment ? Even letting go & not touching the mouse the damn Makarov moves aroung on the target.
What am I missing here ? Other than not reading Russian I mean ?

People who are out of touch with reality have less chance of being driven crazy by it.
