The N.C. Court of Appeals has upheld the child abuse conviction of a Robbinsville woman whose pit bulls mauled her 2-year-old grandson so severely that he spent a week in a medically induced coma.
Susie Adams Anderson was sentenced to at least two years in state prison after a Graham County jury found her grossly negligent in the attack by at least four of her six dogs as the boy played in the front yard.
