Help downloading pics from phone

Hello all, I need help downloading pictures from a Nokia 900 smart phone to my Toshiba laptop running windows vista. My computer doesn't seem to recognize the phone when plugged into the USB port. Any help would be appreciated.

ETA: Found the answer. Thanks anyway.

You might be able to upload them to Photo Bucket or Shutterfly from the phone. Then you can log onto those sites from your computer...

It's faster for me to take out the SD card and put it into the PC.
