Exactly, as dependable as a Glock at about half the cost.

unfortunately, as much as i love my glocks, my gen3 17 did malfunction ONCE in several thousand rounds. my g3 19 had some random extraction issues ie brass to the face. no failures though.
both my CZs have been flawless after thousands of rounds.

Springfield XD-9 OD green 4". Best gun, cycles minor loads and full power, ejects cases into a neat little pile. Looks good from some angles, bad from others! Haven't had a single malfunction, except my first attempt at reloading ammo when I severely undercharged the rounds! And the trigger is hard to beat with any striker gun I've ever shot/held

For me........3rd generation G26. it's eats anything, with any size magazine and with polygonal bore, clean up is easy.
RIA 1911 .45acp and SA XDs .45acp, are both trouble free.
All SIG'S, that I own: P220, P245, P239 and West German Police surplus P6.
My 1960 DDR 9X18 Makarov in SA is a tack driver.

High point.
Glock H&K, 1911, Sig, Beretta, all choked. The HP still chugs along like a fat girl in a eating contest.

Gen 2 GLOCK 19, I've owned for 10 years. I've put thousands of rounds through it and I have never had a malfunction. I've used a SS guide rod and a non-captured recoil spring and a NY1 trigger spring for most of that time.

Sig P220
Sig P226 (x2)
Glock 17, 21, 23 (x2)
Smith & Wesson 645, 4506, 4566
All fired flawlessly, every time I pulled the trigger. (I can't say that about the now traded away Glock 22.)
Probably because they were all stock and as they came from the factory. I see no need for gimmick parts. They all shoot very well from the box.
My HKs (USP .45, USP.40c) were over $600.00.

Hi Point C-9, 9mm. Retail price was $139.00. I forget what I paid for it. Couple of thousand rounds with a few malfunctions, but I don't consider a malfunction to be "trouble." Trouble is when it continues to malfunction to the point you expect it to.

Compared to other compact handguns it's on the heavy side but if I could not have but one pistol that would be it.

I'm cheating, of which I'm well known for, but at $649 NIB?
I'll put my Heckler and Koch P2000 357 Sig V2 gun up against anything.

Citadel 1911 .45
Beretta M9A1 9mm
S&W Shield 9mm
S/A XDs .45
I've owned several Glocks that were flawless as well.I think most modern auto pistols will function 100% out of the box, if the shooter knows how to handle them.

GLOCK 27 and, ironically enough, my Hi-Point .45 ACP. I don't really need to go on about the GLOCK as a google search will turn up more torture tests than I can count, but I've fed the HP everything from WWB to reloads to Federal Premium and it's gone bang every time the trigger's been pulled without a problem.
