Sr45
Anybody know anything about the SR45? I saw it listed on the Ruger website and could not find one for sale anywhere.

One thing I know for certain, Ruger is great for building up peoples wants for a firearm prior to it's actual release. Not sure if it started before the P-85 release, but I experienced it then!
On to the Sr45, although I swore nothing other than a 10MM would be in future purchases, this one changes that idea. When I find one, I will purchase it. I'm going to go out on a limb, and say it might just be the best 45 ACP on the market. If you've never had the opportunity to shoot one of the SR series, you are missing out. In the hand, feels like a 1911. Points like a 1911. 10 round capacity. Design and durability of a Glock. What more could you ask for?
Only downside is mag cost. They are $40!

Too bad they discontinued the P345. It was a great handgun. Only gripe I have with the P series is the bulk compared to other modern pistols.

I've seen a few you tube vids with fateofdestiny shooting one at the shot show. As soon as I heard about this gun in the making, I wrote the President of Ruger with suggestions. I'm glad to see that it has the 4.5" barrel instead of a 4.25" like the 345's and the P-97's. I suggested that it have at least a 12 round mag like the Taurus's and it would be better yet if the capacity were 13 like Glock and the XD's and /or 14/15 like the FN's but no, they had to give it a 10 round capacity. That's sort of a let down and I'm reading another guys post above me and they want $40.00 a mag? That's going to be a sticking point with me. What are we buying here? HK mags? With a ten round capacity and $40.00 mags, this gun would have to be in the low $400's for me to seriously consider it and that's a shame.
