I'm watching sgammo daily and their inventory levels are sinking fast. I have not seen any replenishment of anything yet. They are literally down to 2-4 selections of 1000 round cases of JHPs for most calibers, completely out in others.

DITTO! I've been doing that over the last 2 - 3 years. I've got plenty of everything. I also got some extra magazines. Sooooo glad I did.

I like the idea. I have thought for a long time that people with guns didn't keep enough ammo.

As long as they are going to a good home, this is a good thing.

People are prepping as if there is going to be a revolution, so hopefully there will not be a need for one.

BTW, Let me know when you go to the store and can't buy fertilizer and diesel fuel.

I have a Glock 17 and four loaded magazines. I have 600 loaded rounds sitting in ammo boxes. I am ready for most anything here in VT.

Exactly, but how many people here on GT (Gun people, shooter) don't have enough for one trip to the range or one hunting trip?

It is great having the best xyz gun, but if you don't have ammo to feed it......it is as good as a stick or maybe a rock.

I watched SGAmmo post 50 cases of Win 165gr .40 FMJ and it was gone in a day and a half. They have zero .40, zero .45, zero 12 ga shotgun rounds.

The problem right now is NOT politicians, but rather the gunowners who are in full blown hysteria.
Yep. It's awful. LGS shop crazy busy and none of the customers had a clue. Primers being rationed to 100 a customer. The other LGS, phone was ringing and ringing and ringing...the same question over and over and over again "what do you have in stock and would you please hold it for me"

I watch sgammo closely. They've actually posted 50 cases of that Win 165gr at least three times over the last week. In each case gone within the day. I mentioned in another thread they sold out of 200 1000 cases of 9mm in about three hours.

I think this morning they had relisted 5-6 9mm selections (mostly JHPs) but they're all gone already.

I just ordered a case of 9mm aguila 124gr. From sgammo. I did it yesterday and they were showing around 100 in stock. I'm sure it's gone already.

It's gone and it was $279. Exact same ammo a few weeks ago on their website was $197. Didn't realize Mexican production costs went up over the last few weeks???? I hate to think even crap ammo is gonna run $279 per 1000 going forward.

My benchmark for buying ammo AFTER the 2009 panic was <$200/1000 for 9mm; <$250/1000 for .40; and <$300 for .45. It will return to those prices in time.

I listed a little bit of 9mm 147gr Winchester fmj. The UPS man did not even take most of it out of his truck. I just handed him some labels.

I'll bet that people are stocking up on ammo now.

Now for a guns and ammo ban, the police will have to do door-to-door searches.
