Is it time to upgrade? Yes it is

I carry 12 extra rounds in speed loaders.
Like Janice I carried a G27 for years.
Recently I upgraded to a HK45C with two HK45CT extended mags for reload.
Running Winchester Ranger T-Series 230 gr +P.

Pocket carry it was a S&W 342 ti 38 +P.
Then I upgraded to a S&W 640-1 357.
And just recently upgraded again to a HK P2000SK 40 LEM.

When I have the opportunity, I always upgrade.

G23 with shorts

G20 with pants.

In the case of the g20... 16 rounds of underwood 155 gr 10mm putting down almost 800 ft lbs per round is likely to stop any threat I come across.

If it doesn't I'm screwed

That is quite a load - one shot stops about 96% of the time. My 9mm load is only rated at 89%. Stay safe!

30 rounds of JHP 9mm for my G19 or 25 rounds with my G26 (carrying the G19 magazine as my spare) with no plans to change.

Anyone been packing heavier lately?
I have gained a few extra pounds recently, due to the large holiday meals I've consumed...

Nope.
I went heavy years ago and am sticking to it.
G-20 EDC, with 2 20 round mags. 56 rounds of 10mm should be enough for about anything: Riot, SD situation, home invasion, a coyote on the trail, a pack of coyotes on the trail, the mountain lions that we do not have in ME (if i see it first), survival signaling, euthanizing large animals, impromptu opportunistic hunting, keeping attackers at bay while escaping come SHTF....ect.

Sometimes i'll put an extra mag in my carhart vest, too.

Carrying about the same as always for the past six plus years. I up-gunned a few years back after moving to sunshine land.

I carried my 454 Alaskan one day. Did that count? No I still carry a 357 snub just like always.

P.S. I really did carry the 454 but I was just trying a new holster.

Packing heavier??? Would be hard to do, standard carry since just before the '94 AWB has been a Para-Ordnance P-14 (double stack 5" 1911 .45) and 2 spare mags.

I too have gone for the 'rifle in the trunk' option.

My EDC continues to be a G26 w/standard 10 round mag and a 12 rd mag for a reload and a LCP in my support side front pocket.

Been carrying a CCW and a BUG for so long, no change. Kimber LE Tact 2, w/2-8rd spares, 442 w/speedloader, and on occasion have become 3 Pistol Pete. Added a Bersa 7 rd Thunder 380acp for outside pocket carrier in my jacket. Since wifey has LTCH, can hand her either 442(38 spec), or Bersa 380acp. Recently noticed holsters that fit 1911A, also fit Bersa, so am looking for a left hand model, to balance out the right hand Kimber. The Mall looks better that way!
