NRA $300 Life Membership Deal
If you want to stand up and join the NRA they have extended the $300 life membership offer. You can now sign up online at
www.nra-2013.org
You need a sponsor to get the $300 "gift" membership
Here's how.
1.Find a life member or higher.
2. Get their membership number, zip code and email.
3. Go to the above website and use the above info to sign in. The security code they ask for is on the sign in page in a box to the right.
4. Hit the continue button
5. Skip the second page by hitting the continue button again
6. Under the Select A Gift Membership information line, use the draw down menu and check $300 Life Member.
7. Fill out the rest with your information
8. Hit the "Review and complete your transaction" button
9. Use your own info in the "Billing Info" section and then pay with your credit card
PM me if you need a sponsor.
PS.
You can also get a $20 membership this way as well.

I've got about two years left on my current three year membership. Can this deal be used to upgrade to a life? Or some other discounted deal? Thanks

I didn't see anything about upgrading on the website.
You can call them at 1-800-855-NRA-2013 and ask if they will credit your existing membership toward the $300 gift membership. Remember that this is a gift membership that you are using someone else's membership to give to yourself.

I've purposely not upgraded to a life member because I figure they get MORE money from me if I pay them every few years to renew - and I want to give them more money, not less.
I forget to donate regularly.
Are there other reasons to become a life instead of renewing every 3-5 years like I currently do?

Life members get to vote and you can still donate all the money you want. They are happy to remind you on a regular basis.
(I think 5 year members get to vote also)
You get a cool Life Member Patch and sticker. I got a Life member hat but that was over 20 years ago so I don't know what they give now.
You can upgrade to Endowment Member for only $250 right now.
They give you special life member deals.
Once you are a lifer you don't have to mess with renewing anymore.
It shows commitment to the cause.
Chicks dig it.
$300 to the NRA now is worth more than that much spread over 3 or 5 years

Life membership is easy. Its also dang cheap (unless you are 90+) What are 3-5 yr memberships nowdays? $25 a year?
So you live 10 yrs. You pay @ $250 membership fees, get renewal notices.. Or you pay $300 and if you live 20 yrs you are $200 ahead. Things get tight you don't HAVE to drop membership as already paid.
If you want they will be happy to accept more $$ and upgrade you. Heck I recall when I went to life member in less then month they were calling/letters to upgrade to IIRC Golden Eagle?

I'm on EPL Life payments. I've paid $250 of the $1000 needed to be a life. So if you sponsor me, does that mean I only owe $50 more?

No. According to the NRA, this is a fixed deal. You pay $250.
Consider it $500 saved.

I am now a lifer thanks to an online friend. Money was tight after christmas, so my niece and nephew are each members for one year with the bass pro gift card used to fund ammo for their range time.
I paid for her CCW qualification class and ammo, and have a carry piece ready for her once it arrives in the mail.
Thanks gang!

Awesome! I have a G26 sitting here on my desk in the factory case, waiting on a close friend to receive his/her permit from the state. When they get the permit, the gun will be a Christmas/Birthday gift. I've owned it for 3 years, never shot it (purchased it used from another GTer), and figured, what the heck, I might as well make someone happy with it.

I just tried this but it says only for people who are not currently members of the NRA. Too bad. Guess i'll do the renewal for one year and get the $25.00 bass pro gift card.
