Went to my LGS to look at some pistols and after about an hour, I left because there were still about 21 people ahead of me according to the "Now Serving #" sign. The shelves were pretty bare with only 1 AR type gun and 1 SCAR while the ammo was only about 1/3 full on the shelves. People were blowing money like it's free... well... for some on welfare, it is free.

Impossible.
It's made of ceramic and can't be detected by your airport metal detectors and cost more than you make in a month.

Been a busy week. Last minute things for our daughter was being sorted out for her trip OCONUS. Last Friday she was on the redeye morning flight to go to her ultimate destination in Panamá. As of today she should be in the jungle with her mission team. Kind of odd not having her here at the house.

They only use the FFL for personal business and acquisitions and the agents have been pulling licenses... then again, that could just be hearsay from those who gave up their FFL's since they didn't renew due to the increased costs.

Agreed. I've heard a lot of mixed rhetoric on the subject. An FFL I've talked to a lot recently says its really not that bad. Of course, he's a cardiologist in his full time life so he's got a little money to throw at lawyers if he needs to.

Well, if I'd had the cash, I'd have an AK right now. Local gun shop had a converted .223 Saiga for $620, with one Bulgarian circle-10 30-round mag.

Well, it looks like I start flight training on Saturday! 3 hours of ground school, and then scheduling my 30-minute discovery flight.

Darn! I was going to try to land on the side of a bridge; just pull up and run along the edge of it until you stall, right?

I remember when a private pilot flew his single prop right under the top of the Gateway Arch.
