debtating, any advantage to a 19 when I have a 17 & 26?
Keep thinking about getting a new gun, I don't have a Gen4 so I'm debating a 19. Problem is fitting between the two I already have I'm not too sure if it's a good idea or not. Anybody have all 3 of the 9mms? If so what do ya think of the 19s against your other ones?

Well, get the 19 and find out what "perfection" really means...
Nothing wrong with either of the others, just love my 19.

Why not pick up a G23 then buy a 9mm conversion barrel?
You'd have 2 calibers covered and some variety.
I have a 26, 17 and 30 and think I will be adding a 23 espcially since .40sw is THE only stuff on the shelf at the moment.

reasoning, I have no desire to own a 40. I don't have any ammo for it and don't plan to buy any. I've had no trouble finding 9mm or .45ACP

Although many people have normally functioning G19 gen 4's there are a bunch of people who also have ejection issues... including me. I do like the feel of the 19 though. I'd go for a used gen 3 G19 from 2008 or so...

I'd go the other way and get a 34 or 17L. I shoot the 17 and 26 just fine, but the 19 not so much. Grip length is perfectly wrong for my hands.

Get the 19, it is worth having. Or maybe mix it up a bit by getting a Sig 229 9mm.

Everybody needs a G19 in their collection. It's "the" Glock.

I think a lot would say the G17 is "the" Glock

Nope, G19.
35,000 plus NYPD LEO's can't be wrong. Besides, I think so.
It really is the best seller, we had a poll a while ago, G19 was 1st
and G23 was second.

Gotcha. Well, I just didnt like the way the 19 felt to me - my pinky was half off the end of the grip and it just bothered me. With the 26 I dont mind having an entire finger hanging off and with the 17 its a nice full grip.
I went back and forth with the 19 and owned/sold two of them - it just never got carried when I had the 26 and 17.
With that said, its a perfect one gun solution, but doesn't really have a place, IMHO, when you have the 26 & 17. Of course if you have money to burn, go for the hat trick.
My other suggestions would be to maybe give the G30 a try? Your post makes it sound like you shoot .45acp and the G30 really is an accurate and fun gun. Its also roughly the same length and height as the G19, but the slide is a little fatter.

NYC went with the 19 as a compromise - it was easiest for both male and female officers to grip.
17 started it all and is absolutely the most widely used LE pistol world wide.

I have the 19 and 26. I can shoot the 26 every bit as good or better than the 19 and can conceal the 26 a little better but not much. If you just like the grip of the 19 then get an extension for the 26 you already have. In my opinion theres just not much difference in the two. You already have a 17 for high capacity. If your on fire for a new gun then just go for it. Sometimes you just gotta buy a new gun so you'll start shooting and stop reading about it.

Anybody that thinks the 17 is in more demand then the 19, start another poll.
Unless you don't want to know the truth.

Ditto
19 doesn't fit me well. I've got a 26, 17, and 17L.

I had all three. Dumped the 19 when I hadn't shot it in a year. Always took the 17 to the range, and even after getting a Milt Sparks VM-2 for the 19, still mainly carried the 26.
The 19 is great if you're only going to have one Glock, but it doesn't do either the range/HD role or conceal carry role as well, let alone better, than the 17/26 combo.

They're issued to them. Not like the officers have input to that decision.

Well, it is the master from the loins of which all other Glocks sprung. To say the 19 is " the" Glock is laughable. It's a very good compromise, but still a compromise.

I'm not the guy to talk anyone out of a new gun.
But my G27 with G23 mags and a X-Grip works just fine...
I'd just get an X-Grip and some G19 mags for your G26.
Buy more ammo and range time.

Get it. If you decide you hate it---unget it. The advantages, real or imagined, outweigh any disadvantages.

Add me to the list that would go the other way also and go with a G34 or maybe a G17L.

The 19 is a fine gun. It may fit your hands better than other Glocks - you and your targets will be the judge of that one.
