There's one currently on Auctionarms with 5 hrs left....$545.00.
So, we're all in the ballpark. I got one coming to me for
$535. Shipping and FFL fees are the $35.
Been looking in these parts for a while, but never see one. So, had to do the shipping thing.

if buying from out of state, ffl and shipping fees have to be alotted for. add $50.00 total to the gun and you should still be in the ball park.
ftf should be $500.00 unless it has some sort of added value features like magna-porting or front nite site......

Your 65-5 looks much like my 65-3.

I like Remington Golden Saber 125 gr 357 mag in both 640-1 and 65-3.
Standard 125 gr 357 run ~1450 from a 4"
But only go ~1200 (-250) from a 2" with lots of kick.
Golden Sabers run ~1220 from a 4"
But still to ~1100 (-120) from a 2" and very manageable recoil.
The sweet spot for the Sabers is a 3" barrel at ~1190 (-30).
The 640-1 with a good belt can be pocket carried.
Your going to love your new gun!

Just picked up my 640-1 for $425. Carried a lot, shot little, and had a bit of armorer's work on the straps.

I know it's just a tool, but why would anyone do that?
Is it like that allover the back strap too?

yes it was done front and back. It doesn't feel as bad as it looks though and I believe I got it for a good price.
