CJ was good people for sure. IIRC, he was in the oil industry, starting new wells?

Sad news, indeed. So long, CJ. Fair winds and sunny skies.

I encourage everyone on GT and TOL to follow the link Okie posted and leave a message for his family. In the days and years to follow those those comments will mean a lot to them.
RIP CJ.
You are missed.

Rest in Peace CJ. I remember BSin with him on facebook when he was on hadji net. He was a good guy.

Really hate to read this. Tried to meet up with him once when I was in Corpus Christi for training, but he was working and out of town.
One of the nicest online guys I ever had the privilege of conversing with.
You will be missed CJ.

Kind of like on the internet forums - People continually flip someone off who they know is obligated to not break the rules in response. Yeah, usually that type of stupidity eventually yields the rewards that are earned.
And then there are those trying so hard to be offended that they're imagining things that haven't even been said in a thread.

R.I.P. Chad
Chad and I had many interesting conversations, both in threads and by PM.
Chad recognized and appreciated people from different walks of life.
While, like most people, he could hold a strong opinion, Chad was also open to learning from the experience/training/knowledge of others.
Chad also had a big heart when it came to sharing with those who were less fortunate than him. Many a time he contributed to a membership, or sent items to folks, with never an expectation of something in return. All to rare these days.
I seek confort in knowing Chad is now blessed with eternal rest & peace, free from any worldly burden.
Respectfully,
TBO

Damn. I knew he was going through some tough times, and I, along with many others, offered to help. I hadn't heard from him in months. May his soul find peace.

While I am too new here to fully appreciate him, it seems he touched many here. My condolences to his family and the rest of GT.

Horrible news. I spoke with him a few times on the phone, thought he seemed to be doing better.

I just had to post this, since it shows a glimpse of chad's sense of humor. About 5 or 6 years ago he traveled to Argentina, and he sent me this little keepsake. I've kept in on display in my house ever since.

CJ Landry was a level headed guy I'd like to have known as a friend. His posts were well written and thought out, and I nearly always agreed with him. He made GNG a better and more interesting place.
Life is too precious a gift to check out early. There's always another day, another love, another joy.

This is just awful. He was one of a very few GT members with whom I had contact outside of GT. I'm at a loss for words.

I can't believe it.
I Chad was on my short list here.. Thought he was a cool guy out in the lounge, and then one day he invited me to the Outpost, where he and other great people he had picked out got to cut loose and get to know each other.
Got to know him better over the years, and it was hard to see him go through his recent struggles. His pain is gone, may he be at rest, and I pray I'll meet him one day.

I thought it was very cool when Chad invited me to the Outpost. He was a good guy and I always enjoyed reading his posts. He had some funny stuff too.
You will be missed, friend.
