Got a Beretta 92 FS . . . For FREE!
I was at dinner with some friends from dog sport and we started talking guns. One of the ladies said she had a Beretta that she was looking to get rid of. She said she couldn't remember what model, but would check when she got home. I said it may be a 92 FS as that is probably the most popular Beretta. She then asked me if I was interested in it. I said "sure what are you looking to get for it?" She said "nothing." She said she just didn't want it anymore and I could have it for free. A week later, it arrived at my FFL, and I now have my first Beretta. Here is a picture of it all cleaned up. I'm excited as most of my collection is polymer framed pistols besides my TRP.

I'll give you a buck for it, since you got it for free.
Congrats man, that's a nice deal, I wish I could get deals like that.

I own the same gun. It's a tack driver and fun to shoot. Nice pickup!

Can't go wrong with a free fun. I've only gotten three in my lifetime, but they are great shooters.

Oh great, bac1023 just walking in the LGS and finding rare items for next to nothing and rubbing it in our faces all the time isn't bad enough. Now you have to go bragging about getting a fine piece for FREE other than a transfer fee! What do you look like so I can make a corresponding voodoo doll?
Just kidding! Congratulations on the gun and such cool friends.

Seriously, that is quite a stroke of luck. That is a really nice pistol - congratulations. And yes, do something nice for the lady. After you take that baby to the range.
