Where is your cage? My Tahoe is a 11 or 12 can't remember. We have a cage that makes prisoner room less than a crown Vic AND they didn't put anything to block off the back section.
The positive traction has gotten me up a hill that stopped guys in their cars. I hate the tire pressure sensor. Drives me crazy, especially when the temperature changes.
And this is the hardest vehicle to keep clean on the outside. When it rains the running boards look like I have been mud ridin.

Want to open the interior door handle to get out? Nope, better unlock the door first. Stupid.
Want the doors to stay locked when you pull up to a bar brawl? Nope, they all unlock when you put it in Park.
Want to get out while it's running and hit the door lock on the door? Great! The driver door will unlock itself for you when the door shuts. You have to manually hit it, after you hit the automaticc locks and let it unlock itself, or use the key fob. You damn well better get the kyeless entry. I do not want a patrol vehicle that locks and unlocks itself. Do what I effin say!

On the civilian version the lock/unlock settings can be customized.

Yeah, pretty cool Chevrolet decided LE needs less options than the retail, huh? (very limited DIC instead of full version).

Patrol here doesn't use cages. Front passenger seat, for us.

That just boggles my mind. I guess it's just me transporting inmates so much, and seeing how they can get out of transport restraints if they want, I want that cage between me and them. I can't imagine not doing that on a fresh arrest.

Do y'all transport or call a transport unit? Half my prisoners would be banging their head on my computer.

There are plenty of agencies that don't use cages and transport in the front. Texas DPS and Oklahoma State Police are two that come to mind.

I know, but it just boggles my mind.

We are our own transport units. I've only had a few issues, we called the PD (they have cages), for one guy after a nice fight.
Everyone else that would have been an issue during transport has gotten a ride from our EMS.
I prefer no cage, but that's for another thread (or a search).

AggiePhill, yes, I received your numerous PM's and was able to get your pictures.
PM me one last thing: where you want them sent.
